Antique Glowing Blue MOONSTONE Orb Three Stone 18k Gold Belcher Band Ring Man Unisex Stacker

ABOUT:

This is one of my favorite antique moonstone rings I've found as the moonstones with their strong blue glow are so beautiful accented by the rich and buttery 18k setting.

All original antique piece and the moonstones still have a lovely sheen and polish overall, propped up in the setting. Fun to view them from the side to see the varying domed heights to these antique stones. This one just jumped out of the case at us when we saw it. The lovely shop helper made a sad face when showing it to me as it was a fave of hers as well, and my mom and I continued to talk about it and wear it the rest of the trip.

Found in York in the UK with Birmingham hallmarks for 18k gold and a date stamp for 1921, or possibly 1871 - to be honest, the two letters are pretty much identical. So the date stamp isn't super helpful as we can already tell just looking at it that it is antique, made in the 1920s or before, and possibly late 1800s but not earlier. Its belcher set design and fabrication just fits perfectly into that period. But hopefully that narrows things down for you : ). Guaranteed antique anyway. : )

7.2mm north south and 5.7mm tall off the finger at the center stone.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Some wear to the prongs as expected for age, I pretty much always recommend gentler wear for all my antique pieces. None of the stones move but with their highly domed tops, we wouldn't want to bang them. Some nicks and deeper scratches that I feel appear worse in the zoom pics than the piece does in reality but if you study it you can see it.  The stones do not appear dull or matte finish overall, the typical surface wear due to their tall domed tops seen more when seeking it out. Amazing color and glow.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
