Delicious Eye Clean Fancy Light Greenish Yellow Antique Chunky .67 Carat Old Mine Cut Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring 18k Gold Platinum Edwardian

I'm always over here doing the happy dance over old mine cut diamonds with hues. This one has a notable fancy light yellow color that lights up to a bit of a lemon lime green in direct sunlight. A wonderfully chunky old mine cut that is eye clean, slightly cushioned in shape and held in very secure prongs ready for daily wear!

Found in the UK and stamped 18ct Plat for 18k gold with platinum for the prongs and topping the shoulders with a sort of two tone color strap detail there.

I am always seeking out antique stones of this color - so special and unique, on top of the fact that it is a hand cut stone that is already one of a kind since no two are ever exactly alike. I showed it in pics with a whiter diamond because the comparison helps to show color.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and the pictures can make it difficult to see scale. Antique box is not included.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

Size 6
The diamond is about 5.1x5mm, cushion cut and a very chunky cut, estimating to about .67 carat without removing it.
The piece weighs 1.9 grams. It stands 6.3mm off the finger to the top of the diamond.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

I love this antique diamond. It is eye clean. The only thing I really noticed was a tiny bit of frost under strong magnification to the facets due to the lack of modern polishing methods of the time. This is how it was made and it's wonderful. Not even a nibble to the diamond. I love the color. A classic setting in great condition.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
