Awesome chunky signet / statement ring in 18k gold with an amazingly detailed image of a figural lion on each side. The design is fantastic as we often see just animal heads and here we have the whole body on each side. Super legible with his face and mane.

What really makes this French antique piece special is how Mega it is - it weighs over 15 grams of solid 18k gold (!) so it is quite the golden nugget with a verrrrry sturdy hand feel. I love figural pieces and I've not seen one like this before.

The thick signet face is reverse engraved with the letters PB or BP, for use as a wax seal (so it is backwards on the ring face but correct when stamped).

Found in France with their hallmark for 18k gold. Excellent quality with a wonderful patina.

A great unisex design with a nice and sturdy hand feel and larger footprint on the finger. Could be worn as a whimsical power pointer or as a man ring as well.

Note that there are no green or dark spots to the gold, it just sometimes reflects the surroundings.

Beautiful to stack, also interesting worn alone.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
A bit of wear to the pattern but still very legible. Ever so slightly out of round but wow is it thick and sturdy. Ready to wear and a unique one!

These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces.
