For all the tank ring lovers out there, here is a fun one with the most amaaaaazing hand feel and detail! Great geometry, sleek and glowing buttery gold, beveled edges, engraved details and an encrusted and flared rectangular face give this piece so many wonderful design elements.

This is an antique piece that I acquired in France from the Art Deco era. It is crafted in 18k yellow gold with a total carat weight of around 2 carats, including the three large old mine cut diamonds at the center. The rest of the ring face is then nicely encrusted with a beautiful texture of the rose cut diamonds, with an additional three rose cuts set into the triangular details at each shoulder. So many fun bevels and angles - the ring face is slightly concave with the three old mines shooting a wonderfully chunky sparkle.

Substantial hand feel and beautiful shiny gold, just really unique craftsmanship with almost architectural elements in the design and a really quality fabrication all around. Even with its heft, it really layers and stacks well with other gold and diamond bands. I've been wearing it in a mixed metal stack.

Found in France. No hallmarks remain which is actually common for French pieces due to their location, but sold to me as 18k gold which is the standard in France and tested to confirm.

Antique boxes, props, staircases and bannisters ; ) not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 3/4.
Very heavy at 14.6 grams of solid 18k gold.

Ring face 9.9mm north south and 4.6mm tall off the finger. The angled shoulders are as wide as the face and taper towards the back with a knife edge / beveled shank that remains quite wide and sturdy all the way around.

Exact depths of the diamonds and thereby exact carat weight is unknown / approximate but using estimates it is around 2 carats in diamonds. The largest center OMC is 6.7x5.9mm measuring about 1.1 carat alone. The adjacent OMCs measuring 4.7 and 4.5mm each and about .3 and .45 carat, appearing similar in size face up, but with one being just a bit larger with a deeper depth contributing to the carat weight. These are surrounded by 14 rose cuts around 1.5 to 2mm each, give or take.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Typical antique diamonds, the center has a warm to pale yellow hue and there are some natural inclusions slightly eye visible. The center has a long needle inclusion that is not glaring but seen under magnification. One of the side OMC has two icy inclusions in one area and the other side OMC has two frosty inclusions, one carrying up to the surface. This indented natural inclusion was polished around by the diamond cutter so as not to damage the stone, leaving a frosty unpolished section. The stone is still complete in form and fills the space but if you catch the surface in a reflection you can see the shallow flakes of loss from the inclusion.

The rose cuts are also typical for antique rough, hand cut stones with some frosty spots, irregular edges and facets, some nicks and wear. They provide a nice and "crusty" untamed sparkle to serve as the backdrop to the old mine cuts.

A couple solder bubbles from when it was cast. The bezels and bead prongs are in good shape and the piece has a wonderful design and hand feel. I love this one.

There are no dark spots to the gold, it was just difficult to photograph because it is so shiny and mirrored that it reflects its surroundings.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
