SECRET Vintage HEART " I Love You " Two Part Opening 9k Gold Double Band Ring Diamond Hinged Figural Scrolled Shoulders

Here is an uncommon vintage ring with a little hidden secret!
While on the hand, you may be able to detect a seam on each side of the tapering band. This is because the piece is crafted in two parts and actually OPENS to reveal the secret message "I love you." The message is known only to the wearer as it is not visible when the ring is on the hand, only when removed and opened. With antique style engravings on each shoulder.

Clever craftsmanship. The heart center is set with a small diamond which is set into a loop to hold the two sides together. Such a fun conversation piece!

Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it is difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box not included.

MEASUREMENTS:

Size 7. 7.9mm north south at the ring face. It weighs 3.35 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Completely sturdy and stable, the two sides move a bit while wearing but do not come open when on the finger. The loop is sturdy but when off the hand it can open and close and when on the hand, the seam is visible since it doesn't snap or latch closed. This is just how it was made. Some surface wear and patina. Diamond is a bit frosty but small and just for a glint of sparkle. Always recommend a gentler hand when dealing with tiny gold moving parts! : ). But this one is quite sturdy and I had no problems or concerns wearing it.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
